Urban Indian Issues . . . There is inadequate health care, housing, community referral, social justice and advocacy for Indian people living in urban areas. Resources for urban Indians and special-needs populations are few, fragmented and grossly underfunded to adequately meet the need.

About Tahana Whitecrow Foundation (TWF) . . . TWF was incorporated in July 1987 and is a community-based nonprofit 501 (c)(3) agency whose mission is to promote and provide multiple approaches to urban Indian and other low income population issues through education, direct services and advocacy. We currently provide state-certified alcohol/drug outpatient treatment, DUII education/rehab, community referral and advocacy in the Salem, Oregon area. TWF is an approved provider for the Oregon Medical Assistance Program.
